A special ELECTION DAY edition of the RHMC (Rabbit Hash Mastodon Corridor) News hit the street early this morning as voters were queuing up to vote at the General Store. The front page features shocking (by RHMC News standards) pictures of top candidates Higgins (the jack-ass) and Macy (the beezer) in highly suggestive poses. The two clips were clearly lifted from the November 2 installment of the CBS Sunday Morning News. RHMC News spokesman Ray DeAtor contends his paper was simply reporting on a story that was already in the public eye. He insists the CBS producers, based in New York City, were arguably fans of Deliverance and playing on the the worst Southern stereotypes in order to lure viewers and improve ratings. While Higgins and Macy campaigns would not comment for this post, senior advisers from each camp are calling it a gross misuse of power and a blatant attempt to influence an election outcome. The ass and hound have continued to dip in the polls since the segment aired.
